It is
located in the North-West coast of the island. Gavrio is the
principal Port of Andros where you will arrive and begin your trip. Just outside Gavrio along the coastal roadway to Batsi you will find these lovely villages Agios
Petros, , Kipri, Chrissi Ammos, Stivari, Ag. Marina. You
have a choice of several clean sandy beaches to chose for swimming,
sailing and a variety of water sports. There is an abundance of shops, restaurants and a variety of night life through
out the Municipality.

Towers
- Just outside the Port of Gavrio
in the village of Agios Petros on the mountain-side you will find the
'Tower of
Agios Petros', standing over 20
meters in height. It is one of the best preserved towers in the Cyclades
and it is made from schist rock during the Hellenistic period.

- Paths from Batsi to Stivari and
Batsi to Ormos Korthiou.
Also from
Sariza to Stenies.

Monasteries
- M. Zoodochos Pigi - Moni
Agias - Located at the position of Kapsorachi it is
considered to be the oldest monastery in the Cyclades. It has
been dedicated to Zoodochos Pigi and hasn't been changed since
the 18th Century. Estimated its existence has been since the
year 1535. At the Monastery you will find the head of Saint Trifonas and other relics of importance., Moni Sotiros -Close to
the village of Gides across the Moni Agias. Founded in 1596.

Museums

The Archaeological Museum located in old Andros in the village of Paleopolis.
Many of the historical items and early discoveries found
are exhibited in the Archaeological museum of Goulandris in
Chora. Looking down from the
road to the sea you can see the sunken old pier. On the upper
side of the main road on the mountain side there is a beautiful
waterfall.

Archeological
sites - Ipsili is located near the bus stop at
Stavropeda. There you can see one of the most important archeological
sites and ruins of an ancient village.

Vitali and close to Amolochos.
